Morning Reads June 24, 2021

Good morning! I am writing this from night job and the peak of exhaustion. While I’m excited about moving to Las Vegas on Sunday, I am decidedly less enthused about the moving process itself. You don’t know how much you’ve accrued until you try to pack it away. Plus, I’m middle-aged, and I’ve tried to keep in shape, but this entire process has just wiped me out. I’ll be happy to be in the new place with everything unloaded. In the meantime, enjoy the day’s offerings, and I hope all is well in your world.

The next story in the Transformers Saga has been revealed. Is this going to be Beast Wars? I really hope it’s Beast Wars. But if it’s not Beast Wars, at least involve the Predacons and Predaking.

Canada is advancing a bill to regulate streaming within their borders. I don’t know much about this, but I’m going to keep my eye on it. Any government telling what people can and can’t broadcast raises red flags to me.

Emma Lombard details how to develop a marketing plan for fiction authors. Her niche is historical fiction, and she stipulates that what she does may not work for everyone, but this is still worth reading.

If the above isn’t enough, Jane Friedman gives her own advice for executing a marketing plan for authors.

Thanks for reading and have a great rest of your week.
