The Electronic Software Rating Board, ESRB for short, has issued its official rating on Ubisoft’s upcoming Far Cry 6.
The title has garnered an M rating-no surprise there, considering the player will more than likely leave Yara a bloody, smoking ruin by the end of their playthrough-but it’s warning for drug and alcohol use is telling.
A core element of Far Cry’s game play has always been getting stoned out of their gourd (we still don’t know if that that final fight with Vaas was real), and it appears Far Cry 6 will be no exception. We’ve seen hints of the player character being able to relax in between homicidal sprees getting virtually drunk. Because everyone needs a way to cope with driving blades through bodies and then using their grenades to turn their comrades into Some Assembly Required.
Far Cry 6 drops for all major consoles and PC’S on October 7, 2021.
