Sucker Punch’s upcoming director’s cut of Ghost of Tsushima is set to arrive on PS4 and PS5 on August 20th. Beyond taking us back to the fictional island of Tsushima to follow Jin Sakai as he attempts to wrest control of his homeland from Khotun Khan, the game will also take us to Iki Island where we will confront a new antagonist.

Sucker Punch has kept the details of Iki Island under wraps. We don’t know much about the antagonist so far. We know she (ten points for this, Sucker Punch) is called the Eagle. Where Khotun Khan’s charismatic facade masked brutal determination, the Eagle appears to use guile and dark remedies to achieve her objectives. There are no samurai on this island, which makes you wonder if she’s either turned them, or killed them all.

If you already own Ghost Of Tsushima, the upgrade will cost you anywhere between ten and thirty dollars, based on your platform.

Check out the trailer and let me know what your impressions were! I’ve only seen this once so far, and I was curious about the Eagle so all of my attention went to her. I’ll be watching again to take in the details of Iki Island.
