Deshaun Watson, the troubled former Houston Texans quarterback who apparently has a hard time keeping his hands to himself, has been traded to the Cleveland Browns.

The Browns threw everything they had at him. According to his new contract, Deshaun Watson will spend the next five years suiting up for the Browns for a fully guaranteed two hundred and thirty million dollars.

As a fan of the rival Ravens, this is a little scary. Watson is a better quarterback than the soon-to-be-gone Baker Mayfield. He joins an offense featuring a bruising running back in Nick Chubb and a top tier receiver in Amari Cooper. The formula is there for the Browns to be a playoff threat next year.

Then again, if this goes south and Watson throws so much as a single interception, the fans will run him out of town like they did Mayfield, Tim Couch and…yeah. Those are the only decent quarterbacks they’ve had over the past twenty years.

I feel a bit sorry for Baker Mayfield, who never got a fair shake in Cleveland. I’m hoping he ends upwith a decent team (and fan base) like the Colts or Seahawks.

As someone who abhors sexual assault of any kind. I hope the AFC North spends the next five years leaving cleat marks on Watson’s face.
