I stopped treating my writing like a job and started treating it like a discipline.
I stopped treating my writing like an obligation and started to remember my passion for the craft.
I stopped checking the stats on my page and started writing whenever I felt like it.
I stopped worrying about what others thought of my writing and started worrying about my own imposter syndrome.
I stopped worrying about how my work would be received and started writing and speaking about the things I love.
I stopped worrying about word counts and started focusing on pages and quality.
I started my first novel in five years not long ago. Fifteen pages into the endeavor, these are some of the best decisions I ever made.
Thanks for reading.
